Daiwa Spinning Reel 23 Airity LT 5000D-CXH

The 23' Airity combines all components of the new Airdrive concept and offers highest sensitivity and smooth running. The CNC-machined drive wheel has been specially coated to achieve even smoother and smoother running than usual. The Airdrive Shaft creates a low-contact structure on the Pinion gear to minimise the frictional resistance of the axle and to permanently maintain the silky smooth, almost noiseless running that characterises this reel. The monocoque construction of the magnesium reel body allows the installation of a larger gear with better power transmission and longer life under high loads. The torsion-resistant reel body ensures optimum bearing of the gear unit and permanently smooth running.

The new Airdrive rotor reduces the weight in the upper part of the reel and optimises the balance of the reel on the rod - better casting feel and optimised sensitivity when guiding the lure are the result. By reducing the rotor face, the rotor also starts with less start-up resistance and optimises the reaction. The new hollow Airdrive bail is the evolution in bail design, lighter than any previous Daiwa bail yet offering the strength needed to use the reel for years without problems.

The extra light Airdrive spool has reduced wall thickness and eliminated unnecessary weight - this also contributes to the weight reduction at the front of the reel. The Twistbuster III construction on the line roller ensures this. The Twistbuster III design on the line roller ensures that braided line in particular is not pressed flat when spooled and that there is less twist. The Magsealed construction on the axle and in the line roller ensures fewer problems with corrosion and dirt particles, especially when fishing in salt water.

Ball Bearings: The Airity LT reels in sizes 2000 to 2500 are equipped with a total, of which 9 areCRBB ball bearings. The 5000 size has a total of 11 ball bearings, of which 9 areCRBB and 2 are MagSealed ball bearings.

Crank knob:

Sizes 2000 to 2500 are equipped with I-shape crank knob, sizes 3000 to 4000 have T-shape crank knob. Size 5000 has a round crank knob.
